There is no denying that Apple have surged forwards in leaps and bounds of late to take a wide amount of the market. The brand is recognised the world over as a major player in the technology world.

Plenty of you refuse to switch from the PC to the MAC though, which isn’t surprising. In the same way that some prefer to play partypoker online than on an actual table in the home with friends, some people prefer the PC over the MAC. No one likes change and those who do have probably already switched.

Cost

PCs are much cheaper than a MAC, which is due to many of the computers made being produced by many companies that compete. Lots of competition automatically pulls the price down. PCs are also less expensive to produce. There many people who would argue that the larger sum of money attached to a MAC is proof of its superiority. The truth is Apple has complete control over the production of their computers, meaning they have full control over the pricing. This might mean the quality is higher, but you’d have to test them out to decide for sure.

Usability

You can’t deny the usability of the MAC which far surpasses the PC, whose main selling point is its easy customisation. Apple has strict control over its product, and is strict over the programs they develop. This makes them less adaptable, but extremely dependable and less likely to go wrong.

Customisations

The PC is the king of customising While the MAC only allows limited changes, you can alter everything on a PC from the wallpaper to the Taskbar. Windows 7 allows you to alter most components to suit your everyday wants and needs. These changes do make the PC more prone to glitches however.

The verdict

If you want a machine that will allow you to go online and run a program then by all means go for the MAC. If you wish to customise and make changes however, you are better off with a PC. If you want reliability, the MAC
